Pink Version

Don't Want to Read?
Pokemon Blue, but with a female protagonist, Jigglypuff, Vulpix, and Pikachu as your starters, and some unusual changes to Pokemon typing.- Does what it sets out to do: be gen 1 with a female protagonist.
- I enjoyed some of the new typings for this hack, such as Ratatta being dark type.
- The color version of the hack looks nice with the Yellow tileset.
- Some graphical glitches with the full color patch and the hall of fame still uses Red instead of Kris.
- While Dark, Steel, and Fairy are added to the game; there are no new moves, so I never got a single fairy type move for pokemon, which means Jigglepuff being pure fairy instead of fairy/normal gets no STAB attacks.
Summary
A simple restyling of Blue with Kris from Crystal as the protagonist, and some graphical upgrades from Yellow as well as the ability to play in full color. Adds in Dark, Steel, and Fairy types as well as new starters in Jigglypuff, Pikachu, and Vulpix..
Major Features
- Play as a girl.
- Dark, Steel, and Fairy Types added, and some custom typings added such as Jigglypuff being pure Fairy and Ekans being Poison/Dark.
- Tilesets updated to Yellow's & optional full-color version of patch.
- Focus Energy bug is fixed and Glitch City bug fixed as well.
- Type chart updated to Gen 6.
- Unknown Dungeon updated to Yellow's layout.
Review
Simple and fun little ROM hack. There are no huge features, there is no physical special split or even new moves or evolutions. This is just Pokemon Blue with Kris as your protagonist and the new starters. I'm always interested in playing through with some different starters, so I went through with Vulpix who I don't think I've ever really used in game before.
The type changes were unexpected when they came up, but I enjoyed them mostly. I do wish some more moves had been ported back as my Clefable was feeling the lack of Fairy attacks to help out with STAB.If you want a simple run through of Gen I with minor differences or just want to play it as a girl, this is a good one to go with.
