Review

This hack is kind of like catnip for me, I really like the idea of Yellow hacks that swap out Pikachu and I really like fan regional variants, so a game with both seemed like it was going to be right up my alley. Thankfully, it was.

It can be hard to get fakemon designs correct, but custom regional variants usually help keep the design principles in line, and I love the Pokémon on offer here. All the original starters get more drastic type changes, such as a psychic/flying Squirtle, but others like dark-type Teddiursa are a bit more subtle. I really liked the fairy/flying alicorn ponyta line as a good alternate take on galarian ponyta, and the mothman-like Venomoth is a fun, original design.

The new Pokémon are bolstered by a few future generation Pokémon like Hisuian Sneasel and Frillish, as well as several cut beta Pokémon such as Gorochu the evolution of Raichu. A greater movepool variety and some reworked stats helps make it easy to play around with different team compositions.

Changes to a few gyms and elite four members also keep things fresh beyond just the Pokémon. This adds some new type specialties to the game allowing for more exposure to the new Pokédex.

I really think you can't go wrong with this hack, I loved my time with it and I can't wait to see the creator's next project.
